Join the Boosters
We encourage all parents to join the Band Boosters to better help support our students. There are many opportunities to help that don’t require a great deal of time. Please join this great group of proud parents. See the THS Band web site for information on joining.

We ask that parents and students try not to schedule appointments on sectional days. These rehearsals are critical to our preparation and we need every student there.
Required Materials for Rehearsals
Students are to have their instrument, all music and handouts (binder/folder) and a pencil. All music is to have the measures numbered. Students are to come to rehearsals with their part prepared.
Wind students are to have a tuner that can be attached to their instrument. These can be purchased at Music and Arts for $25.

Private Lessons
Private lessons have started and we are happy to announce that we have teachers for every instrument this year! Our goal is to have 100% participation in the Private Lesson Program. We want all of the students taking lessons. This will make a tremendous difference for your child and will help them to grow as a player even faster. Private lesson forms can be downloaded from the THS Band site.
Band Camp
Attending a summer band camp is a wonderful learning experience for students. Not only do they receive extra instruction and performance opportunities, they also get the chance to live on a college campus for a week. Students come back from camp having grown not only as a musician but also as a person. They will make contact with university professors, learn about the college experience from college students, and will have a greater understanding of what to expect in college.
We strongly encourage all Tiger Band Students to attend a summer band camp.
